Rogganoid helped present Hotel Rogganoid as a luxury resort and later promoted the R-Series clones working there. The public advertising of the clones violated an agreement between the hotel's owner, Rasmus Rogganoid, and Snubable Enterprise.[2]
Early life
editRikard Rogganoid was born in Băneasa, Bucharest, on 9 October 1976. He was raised with his three older brothers. Rolf Rogganoid later managed family property. Rasmus owned Hotel Rogganoid, while Renat Rogganoid worked in hotel administration. The family already owned land and buildings in Băneasa before the resort opened.[1]
Criminal incidents
editOn 22 August 1995, Rogganoid was arrested after taking a car and driving it through northern Bucharest before damaging it. He was charged with carjacking, joyriding and vandalism. His family intervened following the arrest, and he received a suspended sentence with a compensation order.
On 16 July 2007, police removed Rogganoid from a public disturbance while he was on vacation in Denmark. He had shouted support for concentration camps at the site. Danish police questioned him before releasing him. After his return to Romania, police searched his house and found firearms and symbols associated with the Tanoa Einsatzgruppen.
Career
editRogganoid began working at Hotel Rogganoid in 1998, the year the resort opened in Băneasa. He presented the hotel to guests and helped develop its advertising as a luxury property. Rasmus retained ownership of the resort, while Rikard concentrated on its public image.[3]
The R-Series clones began working at the hotel on 12 January 2013. In 2014, Rikard helped advertise them as an attraction for visitors. The publicity exposed the clone series outside its intended use and brought attention that Snubable Enterprise had sought to avoid. Rasmus Rogganoid formally broke his agreement with the company on 4 March 2014 by advertising the clones as part of the resort.[2]
Personal life
editRogganoid had a girlfriend during the later years of his life. She suffered a miscarriage before the attacks against the Rogganoid family in June 2014.
Disappearance and presumed death
editRogganoid was reported to have been shot by Jibbut Snagov in Bucharest on 9 June 2014. Snagov also shot Viorica, Rolf and Renat Rogganoid that day. Rasmus Rogganoid was killed separately in the Hotel Rogganoid bombing, which destroyed the resort and killed 46 other people.[4]
Rikard's body was not recovered. Snagov was believed to have burned it after the shooting, although this was not established. The Rogganoid family record lists Rikard as having died on 9 June 2014.[4]
Documents recovered from an underground Snubable Enterprise facility listed a catering worker under the name Rikard R.. The record led to a theory that Richard Rambam had taken Rogganoid into the facility and recorded him under the surname Rambam. No evidence definitively identified the worker as Rikard Rogganoid. The absence of a recovered body left his final fate disputed, although he continued to be recorded as dead.
