Rainer Rogganoid (12 February 1938 – 21 September 2007) was a Romanian property owner in Băneasa, Bucharest. He controlled land and buildings that later gave the Rogganoid family its base before Hotel Rogganoid became the family's public business.
Early life
[edit | edit source]Rainer Rogganoid was born in Băneasa, Bucharest, Romania, on 12 February 1938. He grew up around the northern edge of the city, where the Rogganoids already held small parcels of land, older houses, and rental buildings.
Career
[edit | edit source]Rogganoid worked as a property owner in Bucharest from the 1960s. His activity was concentrated in Băneasa and involved rent collection, upkeep of family-owned buildings, and the retention of land that later became useful to his sons.
The property he kept in the family became the base from which Rasmus Rogganoid opened Hotel Rogganoid on 17 April 1998. Rainer did not own the resort, but his earlier control of land and buildings made the hotel project possible.
Personal life
[edit | edit source]Rainer Rogganoid was married to Viorica Rogganoid, born Viorica Cernat. They had four sons: Rolf Rogganoid, Rasmus Rogganoid, Renat Rogganoid, and Rikard Rogganoid.
Death
