After the Allgemeine SS was established during the consolidation of Tanoan control, Aziones entered the organization with the rank of SS-Obersturmführer.[3] He was posted to eastern Tanoa as SS-Sicherheitsführer Osttanoa. His early duties included armed searches and arrests against resistance groups. He later moved into the regional administrative command. When SS-Oberabschnitt Osttanoa was formally established on 1 November 1944, Aziones continued serving within the eastern territorial structure.

On 3 August 1958, he was promoted to SS-Gruppenführer and became commander of the regional organization. The rank of SS-Gruppenführer was used for senior officers responsible for regional commands.[4] Aziones remained commander of SS-Oberabschnitt Osttanoa until his death.
