Hugerinus lineage
The Hugerinus lineage is a branch of the Paap family that descends from Aris Hugerinus Paap. The name came from the Book of Paap, in which Martinos Nikolopoulos wrote that the future Paap of light would bear the name Hugerinus.
Origin
[edit | edit source]Georgios Nikolopoulos gave his son Aris the additional name Hugerinus because the word in Martinos's book was meaningful to him. Aris was born on 24 November 1778 and became the first Hugerinus bearer in the family.
Georgios did not intend to establish a prophetic family branch. Later generations interpreted his choice as the beginning of the line that eventually produced Mark Hugerinus Paap, whom Paapists identified as the Paap of light.
Four-letter naming rule
[edit | edit source]The Book of Paap required every Hugerinus bearer to have a four-letter first name. This rule existed before the lineage formed and became a naming tradition among later bearers.
Later lineage
[edit | edit source]The Hugerinus name continued through later Paap generations. Karl Hugerinus Paap was the father of Mark Hugerinus Paap. Mark and his cousin John Hugerinus Paap later founded the Fish Collective.
