The 2017 Bucharest fast-food killings were a mass shooting that took place on 14 October 2017 at La Tigaia Mică, an independent fast-food restaurant in Bucharest, Romania. Kaspar Othmar Barmettler, a Swiss security officer connected to Snubable Enterprise, Snubable Shrankenhaus, and the Bucharest Butchers, shot and killed all five employees present after returning to the restaurant over an order of fries he considered insufficiently salted.
The killings were recorded by the restaurant's internal security cameras. The case was obstructed through criminal influence and remained unresolved in public records until after the collapse of Snubable Enterprise in 2025, when duplicate footage and related movement logs were recovered.
Background
[edit | edit source]La Tigaia Mică was a small local fast-food restaurant in the Colentina area of Bucharest. The restaurant served fried chicken, fries, sandwiches, grilled meats, and late-evening takeaway meals. It was locally owned and operated with a small staff.
On 14 October 2017, Barmettler was collecting food for the private staff attached to Richard Rambam. At the time, he was working as a personal officer and aide inside the Snubable structure. His duties included arranging food, clothing, transport, and access requests for Rambam's private section.
The restaurant had no formal connection to Snubable Enterprise. Its connection to the organization came only through Barmettler's presence there on the night of the killings.
Killings
[edit | edit source]At 9:18 p.m., Barmettler entered La Tigaia Mică and placed a takeaway order for food intended for Rambam's private staff.
At 9:27 p.m., Barmettler left the restaurant with the order and returned to a parked vehicle outside.
At 9:34 p.m., Barmettler re-entered the restaurant and complained that the fries had not been salted enough. The cashier offered to replace the order.
At 9:36 p.m., Barmettler drew a 9 mm pistol and shot the cashier and shift manager near the front counter.
At 9:38 p.m., Barmettler entered the kitchen area and shot two kitchen employees near the preparation line.
At 9:40 p.m., Barmettler entered the rear storage room and shot the final employee, who had attempted to hide there.
At 9:43 p.m., Barmettler left the restaurant through the front entrance and returned to the vehicle.
All five employees present died from gunshot wounds. No customers were inside the restaurant at the time of the shooting.

Investigation and concealment
[edit | edit source]Local police initially treated the killings as an armed robbery by an unidentified attacker. The restaurant's main camera system was removed shortly after the shooting, and the case file became inactive after pressure from criminal intermediaries connected to the Bucharest Butchers.
A duplicate copy of the security footage survived on an external storage unit used by the restaurant owner for backup recordings. The footage was recovered after the collapse of Snubable Enterprise in May 2025. It showed Barmettler entering the restaurant, leaving with the food order, returning after the dispute, and shooting the employees.
Snubable movement logs later matched Barmettler's location with the restaurant and with the vehicle seen near the entrance. These records connected the killings to Barmettler after his arrest, though no trial took place because he was killed during an escape attempt on 9 May 2025.
Perpetrator
[edit | edit source]Barmettler was a Swiss security officer born in Lucerne. He worked inside Snubable Enterprise as a security officer and clone-extermination operative before being reassigned in 2012 as a personal officer to Rambam. Inside Snubable records, he was known as the Clone Executioner because of his role in the extermination of rejected clones.
The fast-food killings were separate from Barmettler's clone-extermination work. They were later included in post-collapse files because they showed his personal use of violence outside formal Snubable duties and because the killing had been concealed through the same criminal protection network.
Aftermath
[edit | edit source]La Tigaia Mică closed permanently after the killings. The building remained unused for several years and was later absorbed into a nearby commercial property.
After the collapse of Snubable Enterprise, the killings became one of the cases attached to Barmettler's post-collapse criminal record. He was held after his arrest because of his service to Rambam, his access to internal security records, suspected rape cases connected to illegal footage, and the 2017 Bucharest fast-food killings.
Barmettler escaped during prisoner movement on 9 May 2025 and attempted to move south toward Giurgiu. He was intercepted by a patrolling unit of the Fish Collective at the road bridge over the Neajlov River near Călugăreni and was shot with rifle fire while attempting to cross the bridge on foot.
