Cees Hugerinus Paap (born 4 November 1967) is a Dutch sailor and sailing school owner from Rotterdam, Netherlands. He is a member of the Paap family and part of the Hugerinus lineage. He is the son of Paul Hugerinus Paap and a cousin of Mark Hugerinus Paap and John Hugerinus Paap.

Cees owns Zeilschool Hugerijn, a sailing school in Rotterdam. He was not a member of the Fish Collective, but publicly supported the organization after its emergence and defended the actions of his cousins against the Tanoa Einsatzgruppen.

Early life

Cees Hugerinus Paap was born on 4 November 1967. He grew up within the Hugerinus branch of the Paap family, a family line associated with maritime work, transport, and independent enterprise.

His father was Paul Hugerinus Paap. Through the Hugerinus lineage, Cees was related to Mark Hugerinus Paap and John Hugerinus Paap, both of whom later became founders of the Fish Collective.

Career

Cees became a sailor and in 1994 he founded Zeilschool Hugerijn, a sailing school based in Rotterdam.

Public support for the Fish Collective

Cees was not part of the Fish Collective. After the Fish Collective adopted its name and became more visible, he expressed support for the organization in Rotterdam maritime circles and defended the involvement of Mark Hugerinus Paap and John Hugerinus Paap.

His support was based on family loyalty and opposition to the Tanoa Einsatzgruppen. He remained outside the group’s internal structure, but his public position made him one of the Hugerinus relatives who openly backed the Fish Collective during the later conflict.
