Martin Noord (born Martin Gerard Noord; 11 April 1956) is a Dutch retired meter fitter from Rotterdam. He is a member of the Noord family and the son of Angelo van Noord. He is known within the family by the nickname Kleine Dwerg.

Noord is mainly associated with technical utility work in Rotterdam. His career is connected to the fitting, replacement, and inspection of gas and electricity meters through a Paap-owned electrical service company.

Martin Gerard Noord was born on 11 April 1956 in Rotterdam, Netherlands. He belongs to the Rotterdam branch of the Noord family. His father is Angelo van Noord, and his siblings are Angelo Noord, Evert Angedrik Noord, and Angela Noord.

Career

Noord joined Paap Maasstroom Meetkamer in 1974. The company was a Paap-owned electrical and metering firm in Rotterdam, active in residential meter fitting, utility inspection, and small-scale electrical service work.

His work involved the installation, replacement, and checking of gas and electricity meters in houses, apartment blocks, local shops, and workshops across Rotterdam. He also handled meter cabinet checks, sealed meter replacements, and routine reporting for utility connections.

Noord remained a field worker within the company and did not hold an ownership role. His career stayed focused on meter fitting and local utility service until his retirement in 2019.

Personal life

Noord lives in Rotterdam and is known within the Noord family by the nickname Kleine Dwerg ("Little Dwarf").

He is 1.76 metres tall and weighing approximately 82 kilograms. He is associated with beer, smoking, BMW cars, and the phrase “Ben nu nog nuchter”.
