Angelo Martin Zuid (born Angelo Martin Noord; 28 June 2002) is a Dutch enforcer for Rotterdam-Zuid (faction). He grew up in Rotterdam-Noord as a member of the Noord family, but began spending much of his time in Rotterdam-Zuid during his teenage years. He began working for Angelo Zuid in 2020 and legally changed his surname from Noord to Zuid in 2021.
Early life
Angelo Martin Noord was born on 28 June 2002 in Rotterdam, Netherlands, to Angelo Noord and Angela Noord, who are siblings from the same branch of the Noord family. He has a brother, Emiel Noord, and a sister, Eva Noord. He grew up in Rotterdam-Noord and had distant relationships with both parents.
During secondary school, Angelo Martin repeatedly argued with teachers and refused instructions, resulting in disciplinary action and several changes of school. His father became stricter as these problems continued and attempted to restrict his contact with friends whom he considered a bad influence. During his early teens, Angelo Martin began travelling to Rotterdam-Zuid on his own and developed a social circle there. In 2018, aged 16, he met Angelo Zuid, who subsequently introduced him to more people in the area.
Angelo Martin later attended mavo at Wolfert College. In 2019, he was expelled after threatening a teacher during an argument and did not return to formal education.
Move to Rotterdam-Zuid
During 2019 and 2020, Angelo Martin committed petty offences with friends, including theft, vandalism and occasional small-scale drug dealing. In 2019, aged 17, he was arrested for shoplifting with two friends. After his release, his father collected him and demanded that he stop associating with his friends in Rotterdam-Zuid. The resulting argument ended with Angelo Martin leaving the family home and staying with Angelo Zuid. He did not return to live with his parents.
In 2020, Angelo Zuid began giving him work delivering messages and packages. After proving reliable, Angelo Martin was also sent to collect money owed to Zuid. His unrelated petty offending largely stopped as this work became more regular.
Break with the Noord family
In 2021, Angelo Noord demanded that his son stop working for Angelo Zuid, leave Rotterdam-Zuid and return to the Noord family. Angelo Martin refused and told his father that he wanted nothing further to do with the family. Several weeks later, he proposed changing his surname to Zuid. After discussing the decision with Angelo Zuid, who encouraged him, he legally changed his name from Angelo Martin Noord to Angelo Martin Zuid.
Angela Noord and Eva Noord sided with Angelo Noord during the dispute, and Angelo Martin cut contact with them. He remained in contact with Emiel, although the brothers spoke less frequently over the following years.
Rotterdam-Zuid
Angelo Martin became one of the enforcers working directly for Angelo Zuid. His work included accompanying Zuid during confrontations, providing physical backup, collecting money and intimidating or assaulting people when instructed. In 2022, he was sent to warn a person who had repeatedly failed to repay money owed to Zuid. When the debt remained unpaid, Zuid instructed him to return several days later and assault the debtor. The debtor paid afterward. During the same year, Angelo Zuid arranged an apartment for Angelo Martin in Rotterdam-Zuid, where he continued to live as of 2026.
By 2023, Angelo Martin regularly accompanied Zuid during meetings, collections, disputes and other faction business, including meetings where Zuid expected the possibility of a confrontation.
2024 assault conviction
In 2024, Angelo Martin went alone to collect money owed to Angelo Zuid from a debtor in Rotterdam-Zuid. An argument began when the debtor did not pay, and Angelo Martin assaulted him. He was arrested, convicted of assault and sentenced to 60 hours of community service. After completing the sentence, he returned to work for Zuid.
Later activities
From 2025, Angelo Zuid increasingly sent Angelo Martin to meetings and other assignments without accompanying him. Angelo Martin delivered Zuid's instructions, discussed unpaid debts and communicated his position during meetings with other people in Rotterdam.
In 2025, Angelo Noord approached his son and again attempted to persuade him to leave Angelo Zuid and Rotterdam-Zuid. Angelo Martin rejected the attempt, mocked his father and told him that he regarded Angelo Zuid as his boss and Rotterdam-Zuid as his home. They did not reconcile.
By 2026, Angelo Martin was doing less routine physical enforcement than in earlier years and was more often used for meetings, collections and other work carried out on Zuid's behalf. He had no formal leadership title or permanent group under his command, although lower-level members sometimes followed his instructions during individual assignments.
Personal life
Angelo Martin is an atheist and has an interest in Morocco and Moroccan culture. He first travelled to Morocco in 2023, visiting Marrakesh. He is also interested in Mercedes-Benz vehicles and, by 2026, used a Mercedes-Benz provided or paid for by Angelo Zuid. He has never held regular legitimate employment.
