Pre-Vader Era

The Pre-Vader Era was the historical period from 1800 to 1919, following the Early Foundation Era and preceding the Vader Era. It covered the nineteenth century and the First World War, ending before the generation later classified as the Vaders reached its main period of adulthood.

The period saw major changes in the histories of the Nostrini and van Noord families. Glöbbery was founded in 1888, while Banca Dâmbovița was established in Bucharest in 1898.

Background

The Pre-Vader Era began after the Early Foundation Era ended in 1799. The Timeline uses the period for the more extensively documented nineteenth-century histories that preceded the Vaders, particularly developments connected to industrial growth and military service.

1800

• The Pre-Vader Era began following the end of the Early Foundation Era in 1799.

1811

• April
  • 23–30 April – The Convocazione Settentrionale della Famiglia Nostrini was held at Casa di San Michele in Aversa after the death of Domenico Nostrini caused a succession dispute. The final settlement recognized Vittorio Nostrini as capofamiglia and preserved Saverio Nostrini's authority over the southern branch.
• May
  • 12 May – The Statuto domestico Nostrini was copied and sealed following the settlement. The transfer of the family archive began later that year, with the first archive chests reaching Aversa on 7 September.

1812–1819

• Nostrini branches that moved north gradually adopted the surname Norte following the 1811 settlement.

1858

• Camilla Norte and Matteo Norte moved from Aversa to Rotterdam, establishing the family branch that later used the van Noord surname in the Netherlands.

1859

• January
  • 18 January – Camilla and Matteo completed their conversion to Judaism. Their later children born in Rotterdam were registered under the surname van Noord.

1861

• March
  • 17 March – The Kingdom of Italy was proclaimed. The Nostrini branches in Naples and Aversa thereafter lived within the unified Italian state.

1863

• September
  • 9 September – Carmine Nostrini founded the Nostrini crime family in Naples.

1877

• August
  • 27 August – Antonius Martin Paap succeeded Melchior Paap as Great Paap.

1887

• Antonius Martin Paap built the Martinoskerk on Paap family land in the Hoge Veluwe. The site later became part of Vriendendam.

1888

• October
  • 17 October – Reinhard Glöbbelhart and Elias Schwammelwanger founded Glöbbery at Festung Glöbbelhart in Switzerland.

1898

• Banca Dâmbovița was founded in Bucharest as a privately owned joint-stock commercial bank.

1900

• April
  • 12 April – Ilie Ionuț became head of the House of Ionuț and leader of the Butchers. He remained in both positions into the Vader Era.

1907

• February–April
  • 21 February–5 April – The 1907 Peasants' Revolt began at Flămânzi and spread from Moldavia into Wallachia. The Romanian Army and Gendarmerie suppressed the uprising. Official records counted 419 peasants killed and more than 10,000 arrests.
• March
  • 12 March – Gheorghe Grigore Cantacuzino's Conservative government resigned during the revolt. Dimitrie Sturdza formed a Liberal government the same day.

1914

• July
  • 28 July – The First World War began.

1918

• November
  • 11 November – The Armistice ended the fighting of the First World War.

1919

• The Pre-Vader Era ended at the close of 1919. The Vader Era began in 1920.
