Bucharest Tribunal
The Bucharest Tribunal was a post-collapse classification and sentencing tribunal opened at the Palace of Justice in Bucharest, Romania, on 1 May 2025 after the collapse of the Bucharest Butchers and the final dismantling of Snubable Enterprise.[1][2] It assigned outcomes to captured people already classified as contributors to the criminal elitist scheme tied to the network of the Bucharest Butchers.[3][4]
The tribunal operated under the emergency reconstruction process directed by the Comisia Română pentru Reconstrucție (Romanian Reconstruction Commission). Fish Collective evidence entered the case record through the Biroul pentru Probe Fish Collective, with Hugo Hugerinus Paap serving as evidence representative for fugitive intelligence and seized files.[1]
Proceedings
[edit | edit source]On 1 May 2025, Richard Rambam, Peter Pecker, and Mihai Dobreanu were captured and executed in Bucharest during the collapse of Snubable Enterprise.[1]
After the tribunal opened on 1 May 2025, pressure increased on suppliers tied to Bucharest Butchers routes. Arbëror Shpend Leka and Kateryna Moroz were detained at a house in the Dardania district of Gjakova on 9 May 2025. They were moved from Gjakova to Pristina, transferred to Bucharest on 10 May 2025, processed through the tribunal's early May proceedings and then shot by firing squad in Bucharest the same day.[4][5][6]
Alexandru Ionuț was arrested in Bucharest on 17 May 2025. His tribunal proceeding began on 7 June 2025. Prosecutors used the logs of Snubable Enterprise and recovered Bucharest Butchers records to place him in the organization's enforcement structure. The tribunal recorded crimes against humanity against him on 11 June 2025 and assigned death. He was executed by shooting in Bucharest on 12 June 2025.[7]
Dorin Vasile Bălănescu was arrested on 4 May 2025 after removing archive boxes from Richard Rambam's private office. His tribunal proceeding took place on 16 May 2025. The tribunal recorded the murder of Adrian Corneșanu, concealment of evidence, and removal of Snubable Enterprise records after the organization's collapse. It assigned him to death, and Bălănescu was executed by firing squad at a tribunal detention compound in Băneasa, Bucharest, on 18 May 2025.[8]
Nicolae Ionuț was detained on 6 May 2025 after the dismantling of the Bucharest Butchers. Prosecutors added his stadium cases to a wider organized-crime indictment on 19 June 2025. On 14 October 2025, the tribunal assigned life imprisonment for participation in the Bucharest Butchers and for offences committed under its protection.[3]
Andrei Ionuț remained in custody after the collapse of the Bucharest Butchers. Further files concerning his leadership were added to the tribunal record after his initial imprisonment. He was interrogated again before the final decision. After 433 days in custody, he was sentenced to death. Before the execution, the convictions recorded against him were read aloud. His only recorded response was, "Amazing." He was executed by firing squad in Bucharest on 8 July 2026.[9]
Evidence
[edit | edit source]The tribunal record used material recovered from the Bucharest Butchers, Snubable Enterprise, and Septicsolution. The Fish Collective released individual records of Bucharest Butchers members and files describing the organization's connection to the Tanoa Einsatzgruppen.
