Hugo Hugerinus Paap (born 18 March 1967) is a French-born member of the Fish Collective and a member of the Paap family. He is the cousin of Mark Hugerinus Paap and John Hugerinus Paap.
Hugo became known for killing Iakob Ionuț near Ulmi on 2 May 2025 during the final pursuit of remaining Bucharest Butchers fugitives in Romania. He had entered Romania after Fish Collective operations against World Economic Order-linked assets in Switzerland.
Early life
[edit | edit source]Hugo Hugerinus Paap was born on 18 March 1967 in Rethel, Ardennes, France. He was part of the Hugerinus branch of the Paap family, which later produced several figures connected to the Fish Collective.
His cousins Mark Hugerinus Paap and John Hugerinus Paap became the founding figures of the Fish Collective after the aftermath of Air Fiji Flight 27 and the escalation of resistance activity against the Tanoa Einsatzgruppen.
Fish Collective
[edit | edit source]Hugo joined the Fish Collective after the organization developed from the earlier network created by Mark and John Hugerinus Paap. His work was connected to the wider campaign against the Tanoa Einsatzgruppen and later against structures linked to the Bucharest Butchers and the World Economic Order.
By 2025, Hugo was active outside Tanoa. He entered Romania after Fish Collective operations against World Economic Order-linked assets in Switzerland and joined the search for remaining Bucharest Butchers fugitives after the collapse of the organization.
Killing of Iakob Ionuț
[edit | edit source]On 2 May 2025, Hugo Hugerinus Paap took part in the final pursuit of Iakob Ionuț near Ulmi, Dâmbovița County, Romania. Iakob had fled after killing several people during his escape, including Ana-Maria Nistor in Târgoviște.
After Iakob crashed the stolen Renault Clio near DJ711, he continued on foot through a field while injured and armed. Police, Fish Collective members, and local armed participants surrounded the area. At approximately 2:52 a.m., Hugo shot Iakob in the neck with an M24 sniper rifle. Iakob died at the scene.
The shooting ended the final escape of one of the last active Bucharest Butchers fugitives. It also connected Hugo directly to the last phase of the Fish Collective campaign against the surviving members of the organization.
