Silvia Wilson (born 17 April 1995) is a Romanian-American former casino worker known for her relationship with Petru Ionuț. She worked at Ionuț's Hollywood casino, where she first served as a cleaner and later became a house dealer at the roulette tables used by Ionuț. In August 2024, she left California with Ruben Istrate after Ionuț ordered them to travel to his house in Morrison, Tennessee.
Early life
[edit | edit source]Wilson was born in California, United States, on 17 April 1995. Her father, Daniel Thomas Wilson, was American. Her mother, Elena Maria Wilson, née Văduvescu, was Romanian-born. Wilson grew up in a Romanian-American household with her younger sister, Sonia Wilson.
Career
[edit | edit source]Wilson first worked at Petru Ionuț's Hollywood casino as a cleaner. Her work included cleaning the gaming floor after closing, staff corridors, service rooms, and service routes near the roulette tables. The job gave her regular access to the casino floor and the staff areas used by guards, dealers, and supervisors.
Wilson later began working closer to the gaming floor after supervisors noticed that she already knew the routines around the tables. She was moved into table-support work and then became a house dealer. The casino was the only casino where she is known to have worked.
As a dealer, Wilson worked mainly at roulette tables. She was repeatedly assigned to the roulette tables used by Ionuț during his visits to the gaming floor. Ionuț later required her to act as the house dealer when he played Romanian Roulette in the main casino and during private roulette sessions in his penthouse above the casino.
Relationship with Petru Ionuț
[edit | edit source]Wilson first met Petru Ionuț through her work inside his Hollywood casino. At first, she knew him as the owner and controlling figure behind the casino. She became more familiar with him after being assigned to the roulette tables he used.
Wilson later had repeated contact with Ionuț through the roulette tables and private games in his penthouse. Their conversations became more regular in early 2022, and the relationship became personal in February 2022. By 2024, Wilson had direct access to both his public casino routine and his penthouse above the casino.
Through Ionuț, Wilson met Iakob Ionuț, Ruben Istrate, and other people around the California operation. She feared Iakob Ionuț because of his role as Petru's enforcer, his violent reputation, and the way guards and lower-ranking workers avoided him. She did not have the same fear of Ruben Istrate. Istrate treated her as someone Petru had placed under protection and did not threaten her during her time around the casino.
In autumn 2023, Wilson told Ionuț that her younger sister Sonia Wilson had failed university coursework after refusing to submit a required paper supporting material on gender transition and gender identity policy. Wilson did not expect Ionuț to intervene directly. Ionuț went to the university with Ruben Istrate and Iakob Ionuț, entered the director's office, assaulted the director, and threatened him if Sonia was not allowed to pass. After the director tried to report the incident to police, Ionuț used threats and criminal pressure to stop the complaint. Sonia was then passed by the university.
On 18 June 2024, Valeriu Petrescu, the son of Dorin Petrescu, entered Ionuț's penthouse above the casino under orders from Marku Ionuț to kill Ionuț and abduct Wilson. During the fight inside the penthouse, Wilson struck Valeriu in the head with a bottle, stunning him. Ionuț then overpowered Valeriu and killed him by repeatedly punching him.
Wilson was not convicted for her part in Valeriu Petrescu's death. Valeriu was treated as a high-profile criminal who had entered the penthouse during an attempted killing and abduction. After the collapse of the Tanoa Einsatzgruppen and the replacement of governments connected to its network, authorities did not prosecute Wilson for the incident.
On 19 August 2024, inside Ionuț's penthouse, Ionuț told Wilson and Ruben Istrate to leave Los Angeles for safety and travel to his second house in Morrison, Tennessee. He gave them a large amount of cash for the journey. During that final meeting, Wilson told Ionuț that she was pregnant. Istrate then protected Wilson during the escape from California to Tennessee and stayed with her while they left the city.
Personal life
[edit | edit source]Wilson has one daughter, Alina Ionuț, born in Tennessee in 2025. Alina is the daughter of Wilson and Petru Ionuț. Wilson kept the Ionuț family name for her daughter after settling in Morrison, Tennessee, following her escape from California with Ruben Istrate.
