The Ordnungspolizei was the uniformed police force of the Tanoa Einsatzgruppen. Founded in 1970, it operated as the primary public law enforcement body within territories controlled by the regime. The organization was subordinated to the Tanoanischssicherheitshauptamt (TSHA) and worked in coordination with other security and administrative branches.

The Ordnungspolizei was responsible for maintaining public order, enforcing state regulations, and supporting internal security structures. It functioned separately from intelligence and political police units, focusing mainly on visible policing and regulatory enforcement.

History

[edit | edit source]

The Ordnungspolizei was established in 1970 during a period of administrative expansion within the Tanoa-controlled territories. As infrastructure, urban centers, and transport networks developed, a centralized uniformed police force was created to standardize public security operations.

During the 1970s and 1980s, the force expanded its regional commands and integrated specialized branches. Its authority increased under the leadership of Eef Paap, aligning local policing with broader security and registration systems.

The organization remained active until the collapse of the Tanoa Einsatzgruppen on 30 November 2024.

Organization

[edit | edit source]

The Ordnungspolizei was structured into regional police commands reporting to headquarters in Georgetown. It maintained standardized ranks, uniforms, and reporting procedures across all territories under its jurisdiction.

Although units such as the Schutzpolizei and Gendarmerie carried out daily patrol and territorial duties, they reported directly to Ordnungspolizei command offices. The Ordnungspolizei itself functioned as the superior uniformed authority, holding broader operational powers, heavier equipment allocations, and extended jurisdiction beyond routine policing.

In addition to supervisory and coordination responsibilities, the Ordnungspolizei directed large-scale security operations. These included systematic population controls, forced removals, organized deportations, and enforcement campaigns aimed at eliminating resistance among Tanoan natives. The force conducted coordinated sweeps of residential areas, inspections of private homes, and searches of rural settlements to ensure that no individuals designated for detention, relocation, or forced labor remained hidden.

Subdepartments

[edit | edit source]

The Ordnungspolizei was organized into the following subdepartments:

  • Postschutz – Responsible for the protection of postal services, mail transport, and communication infrastructure.
  • Verwaltungspolizei – Administrative police enforcing regulatory compliance, documentation control, and civil registration measures.
  • Schutzpolizei – Uniformed urban police tasked with patrol duties and maintaining public order.
  • Gendarmerie – Rural police unit responsible for countryside patrol and territorial security.
  • BahnSchutzpolizei – Railway security branch protecting rail infrastructure and supervising transport operations.
  • Werkschutzpolizei – Industrial protection service assigned to factories, state facilities, and strategic production sites.
  • Sicherheitspolizei – Security coordination unit working alongside investigative and intelligence authorities.
  • Strafvollzugsdienst – Prison service responsible for detention facilities and inmate supervision.
    • Justizbeamte – Court officers assigned to judicial security and enforcement of court orders.

Responsibilities

[edit | edit source]

The Ordnungspolizei carried out a wide range of public and regulatory duties, including:

  • Patrol and visible policing in urban and rural areas
  • Enforcement of residency and registration laws
  • Crowd control and public assembly supervision
  • Support of judicial and detention transfers
  • Protection of state facilities and infrastructure
  • Coordination with investigative units such as the Kriminalpolizei

In addition to regular policing, the Ordnungspolizei supported security operations during periods of unrest and assisted in the implementation of administrative decrees issued by higher authorities.
