Porno Bucharest (Romanian: Porno București), commonly abbreviated POB, was an internal department of the Bucharest Butchers founded by Marku Ionuț on 14 March 2008. It began by producing and distributing illegal pornographic recordings before developing an organized trafficking network. The department maintained guarded properties and an armed field structure under Marku's direct control, and its income increased his authority within the Bucharest Butchers.[1]
Porno Bucharest primarily targeted women and children, who were held at department-controlled properties or moved through protected trafficking routes. Its European network extended to Tanoa, while a separate operation established in Shenzhen from 2014 supplied victims from China and distributed recordings there.[2] The department also provided captives and recorded material to Tanoan structures and clients connected to the World Economic Order.[3]
During 2024, Marku attempted to extend Porno Bucharest into North America by gaining control of the Bucharest Butchers' operations in Los Angeles. His attempt brought him into conflict with Petru Ionuț, who refused to surrender the California properties and revenue. Porno Bucharest ceased functioning as an organized department after Marku was killed on 1 May 2025.
History
[edit | edit source]Marku established Porno Bucharest on 14 March 2008 and created the internal title Porn Organizer Bucharest for its leader. Mircea Ionuț supplied start-up money during the department's first year.[4] On 12 November, Oskar Dirlewanger formally approved Porno Bucharest as a revenue and blackmail structure within the Bucharest Butchers.[5] Hermann Florstedt later advised Marku on the security of guarded properties and foreign operating houses.[6]
The department expanded from recording and distribution into organized trafficking during the early 2010s. Marku recruited Dorin Petrescu, a former Romanian military officer, in mid-2010 to reorganize its field personnel. Petrescu introduced fixed guard shifts and direct chains of command between department properties, and on 22 July 2010 he organized the abduction of two women from Sector 5 and their transfer to a property in Popești-Leordeni. By 2011 he controlled the transport and protection units, and by 2013 he had become Porno Bucharest's main field commander.[7] Marku also developed a separate internal enforcement structure under Praetor Lupu, who was placed in charge of internal purges in 2012.[8]
As the department grew, Marku placed safe houses and transport crews under his direct authority. Its personnel guarded recording sites, carried out abductions and moved captives between properties. By the early 2020s, Porno Bucharest operated with substantial independence inside the Bucharest Butchers while remaining formally subordinate to the wider organization.[1]
On 17 February 2024, Jibbut Snagov accompanied Marku to a Porno Bucharest property in northern Romania, where members of the department had confined a 17-year-old girl for Marku to sexually exploit. Her mother, Yelena Zaretskaya, arrived with a Mosin–Nagant rifle and shot Marku in the leg before leaving with her daughter. Snagov encountered them as they escaped and deliberately allowed them to pass, which Marku later came to suspect.[9]
Marku also sought control of the Bucharest Butchers' Los Angeles operations during 2024. Petru Ionuț refused to surrender his properties and revenue, and on 18 June Marku sent Valeriu Petrescu to Petru's casino complex with orders to kill him and abduct Silvia Wilson. Petru killed Valeriu during the attack. Marku later persuaded Iakob Ionuț to kill Petru by promising him greater authority over the California network, and Iakob killed him on 21 August.[10] Ingrid Rambam had joined Porno Bucharest as a trafficker on 22 July after being dismissed from Snubable Enterprise. On 3 October, Marku placed her in command of a mobile unit operating in Romania.[11]
Organization and activities
[edit | edit source]Marku exercised final authority over Porno Bucharest as Porn Organizer Bucharest. Dorin Petrescu directed much of its field activity and became his principal operational subordinate, while Praetor Lupu controlled internal purges and the Wolf Pit. The department maintained its own guards and transport personnel, allowing Marku to carry out operations through a structure that answered directly to him.[7][8]
Trafficking and detention
[edit | edit source]Porno Bucharest abducted women and children and confined them at guarded properties. Victims were taken directly by department personnel or obtained through compromised intermediaries. Corrupt child-protection personnel diverted children from state care into the trafficking network in some jurisdictions, after which false identities and placement records were used to conceal their movement.
The department operated routes across Europe, moving captives by road between holding properties before longer transfers. Some shipments used concealed freight or maritime cargo systems. Severin Vârtomir Bubblarnitey prepared false industrial documentation for transfers from Romanian holding sites toward Tanoa, where kidnapped women and girls were transported in sealed cargo containers.[12] Victims arriving there could enter systems connected to the Féminas-abteilung Nacional de Eef Paap (FNdEP).
Porno Bucharest also supplied captives to individual members and associates of the Bucharest Butchers. Although Mohammedescu Ionuț refused a place in the department in 2008, Marku supplied him with a minor held through its trafficking network on 24 April 2010 and recorded him sexually assaulting her. Marku continued supplying victims to Mohammedescu on later birthdays, including other minors.[13]
Recording and blackmail
[edit | edit source]Illegal recordings remained central to Porno Bucharest after its expansion into trafficking. Material produced at its properties was sold to criminal clients and distributed through restricted networks. Copies were retained when Marku believed a participant could later be blackmailed, and the department accumulated large archives of recordings on hard drives kept at separate properties.
The archive was also used against intermediaries and associates who threatened to expose the department. Marku ordered duplicate collections to be stored away from the main recording sites so that a police seizure or attack would not destroy the entire archive. Recordings were also used in foreign transactions, including payments made through the department's Chinese network.[2]
Raids and enforcement
[edit | edit source]Porno Bucharest maintained armed personnel for abductions and property security. Field teams entered homes to seize selected victims, and relatives or witnesses who resisted could be assaulted or killed. Petrescu reorganized these personnel after joining in 2010 and established direct reporting between the department's properties. On 14 February 2011, he killed Porno Bucharest driver Marius Neagu near Pantelimon, Bucharest, after Neagu was accused of speaking to police about its transport routes.[7]
Internal punishment was largely handled by Praetor Lupu. On 21 April 2012, Marku appointed him head of internal purges and commander of the Wolf Pit. Seven older executioners resisted his appointment, and Lupu killed three of them after they refused to submit to his authority. Later that year, Marku allowed him to form the Hyena Crew, a seven-man unit used for abductions and the disposal of human remains in lime pits in Ilfov County. The crew also destroyed hard drives recovered after internal purges.[8]
Valeriu Petrescu became involved in the department in 2016 and moved into guard and recovery work after 2018. From 2020 he took part in operations against families whose women or girls had been selected for abduction, including killings of relatives who resisted. By 2022, he commanded younger guards at department-controlled properties and could manage sites when senior field commanders were absent. Later investigations attributed 47 abductions and 29 confirmed killings to him during his work for Porno Bucharest.[14] Mircea Ionuț also carried out killings connected to the protection of the department during its expansion.[4]
Political protection
[edit | edit source]Porno Bucharest relied on official corruption to protect its properties and trafficking routes. Police and customs personnel provided assistance, while compromised border officials protected cross-border movements. Municipal employees supplied administrative cover for properties, and corrupt welfare personnel helped redirect children into the trafficking system. Officials also warned the department about planned investigations or interfered after victims disappeared.
Marku extended these protection arrangements into China after establishing the Shenzhen network. In 2018, Wang Yucheng, a businessman who had worked with Marku since 2011, brought him to a private gathering attended by senior Chinese politicians. Marku offered those present direct access to Porno Bucharest's pornography and trafficking network, after which national officials began dealing with him personally. The relationships included more than four members of the Politburo Standing Committee, although the exact number was never established, as well as Vice Premier Xu Guoqiang, Minister of Public Security Zhang Weitao and former minister He Qiang. Marku made direct payments to senior officials in Beijing for protection, while some of the same officials used the network themselves.[2]
External relationships
[edit | edit source]Porno Bucharest remained part of the Bucharest Butchers throughout its existence and used the parent organization's criminal infrastructure when operating in Romania and Europe.[1] It also developed a separate Chinese network under Marku. Its relationships with Snubable Enterprise and Tanoan organizations supplied additional personnel, protection and foreign access.
China network
[edit | edit source]Marku began spending extended periods in China in 2010 and 2011 to obtain recording equipment and storage hardware for Porno Bucharest. During these trips he met Wang Yucheng, who helped him obtain equipment and arrange shipping. In 2014, Marku established a more permanent operation in Shenzhen and began buying equipment in Huaqiangbei, where he met Liu Weimin. Liu operated an import-export company called Dragon's Gate Logistics that was being used as a front for trafficking girls and young women out of China. Later that year, Liu began supplying victims to Porno Bucharest, including minors as young as 14. Marku paid him partly in euros and partly with Porno Bucharest recordings, which Liu distributed through an underground pornography network in China.[2]
In 2015, Marku began supplying the FNdEP with recordings involving victims trafficked through Liu's network. The arrangement brought payments to Porno Bucharest and provided protection through Tanoan contacts. Relations with Liu deteriorated in 2017 after he delivered fewer hard drives than Marku had paid for. Marku responded by ordering two of his men to sexually assault Liu's 16-year-old daughter and record the assault, then sent the recording to Liu as a threat. He subsequently took control of most of Liu's Shenzhen contacts and distribution routes, while Liu remained in a reduced role making introductions. By 2018, Marku had acquired a house in Shenzhen and was using it as a permanent base for the Chinese operation.[2]
On 9 August 2020, Marku sent Praetor Lupu to kill Liu. Lupu shot him while he was picnicking with his family and abducted Liu's daughter, taking her to Marku's Shenzhen house.[8] After Liu's death, Chen Guowei, one of his former associates, assumed day-to-day management of the local network. Chen remained in charge until mid-2024, when Marku paid a Chinese contact to kill him. During the second half of the year, the remaining trafficking and distribution contacts were transferred to FNdEP intermediaries. A smaller part of the former network continued under ex-FNdEP personnel after the Tanoa Einsatzgruppen collapsed, although Marku no longer exercised effective control over it.[2]
Snubable Enterprise
[edit | edit source]Porno Bucharest maintained financial and operational links with Snubable Enterprise. Marku invested money in Snubable and took an interest in its female clone production. In 2010, Porno Bucharest kidnapped Albert Shrankenhaus after he repeatedly sent Marku recordings of assaults he had committed. Albert was held for two to three weeks while Marku demanded that Stefan Shrankenhaus obtain cheaper clones from Richard Rambam for pornographic productions. Rambam refused to lower the price, and Stefan instead supplied prototype tanks to secure Albert's release. Albert later sought membership in Porno Bucharest, but the department rejected him.[15]
The department also supplied trafficked victims to Sorin Spitt, who served as Head of Clone Medicine at Snubable. From 2010 onward, Spitt repeatedly sexually exploited victims obtained through Porno Bucharest, including adult women and underage girls.[16] In 2018, Marku ordered Jibbut Snagov, then head of Snubable's security services, to inspect Porno Bucharest hangars and hideouts and improve their security.[9] Material recovered after the collapse also connected Kaspar Othmar Barmettler to a guarded Porno Bucharest property near Cernica Forest. By 2024, Marku was using his Snubable relationships while seeking deeper integration between the Bucharest Butchers and the Tanoa Einsatzgruppen.
Tanoa and the World Economic Order
[edit | edit source]Porno Bucharest maintained trafficking links with Tanoa throughout the 2010s and early 2020s. Victims transported there entered networks connected to the FNdEP, while Tanoa-linked contacts helped protect cross-border movements. The department's relationship with the World Economic Order provided access to clients and protected document channels outside the ordinary Bucharest Butchers structure.[3]
Closed events attended by World Economic Order patrons received captives through Porno Bucharest and related trafficking networks. The same infrastructure supplied victims for Adrenochrome extraction during the late 2010s and early 2020s.[17] In 2024, Marku sought to merge the Bucharest Butchers more closely with the Tanoa Einsatzgruppen, with Richard Rambam, Stefan Shrankenhaus and Florin Ionuț supporting the proposed alignment. The plan lost its external support when the Tanoan state collapsed in November 2024.[10][18]
Downfall
[edit | edit source]The collapse of the Tanoa Einsatzgruppen between 24 and 30 November 2024 removed much of the foreign protection on which Porno Bucharest had relied.[18] European trafficking routes became harder to maintain, while the China contacts transferred to FNdEP intermediaries began operating outside Marku's effective control. From Romania, he attempted to recover money and records left in Shenzhen, but the former intermediaries refused to cooperate and retained them. His threats had little effect by that stage.[2]
Dorin Petrescu remained in command of the department's field structure during its final months. As pressure increased, he moved archive material and restricted travel between Porno Bucharest properties. On 30 April 2025, he ordered storage drives and records removed or destroyed at several locations.[19] Marku was killed the following day during the collapse of the Bucharest Butchers, leaving the department without its central authority.[20] Porno Bucharest ceased functioning as an organized structure on 1 May.
Romanian police immediately began targeting its remaining personnel and properties. Ingrid Rambam was arrested on 2 May.[11] Police located Petrescu at a house on the outskirts of Bucharest on 3 May, but he killed himself before officers entered the property.[19] The surviving part of the former Shenzhen network continued independently under former FNdEP intermediaries until investigations began in 2025.[2]
Post-collapse investigations
[edit | edit source]Investigators searched former Porno Bucharest properties after the department's dissolution and recovered personnel files and internal planning records. Other material had already been destroyed or removed during the final days. The surviving records documented abductions and unlawful detention carried out through the department's properties and transport system. Investigations also examined the trafficking of children, killings committed during enforcement operations and the supply of victims to protected external networks. Recovered material was subsequently used in proceedings against surviving members and associates of the Bucharest Butchers.
Chinese investigators also searched Marku's abandoned house in Shenzhen. They recovered recordings and documentary records concerning payments and trafficking activity, including material relating to the protection of the network by senior officials. The records became part of the investigation conducted by the Beijing Tribunal, which identified Marku as the principal foreign organizer of the Chinese network.[2]
