The meeting failed, and [[Ferdinand Schroeter]] was found dead several days later. [[Schroeter Traktoren]] closed its factories and ceased operations in July. The Vriend Era began after the breakdown of the older Middenvader framework. The Vriend Era is the current historical period, beginning in 1960 after the Middenvader Era. It covers the generation associated with De Vrienden and the period that developed around them. Later generations and events remain part of the Vriend Era unless a new era boundary is established.[1]

De Vrienden formed in 1974 and developed into the five-member group completed in 1976. During the same period, the Tanoa Einsatzgruppen expanded outside Tanoa and remained a major political and military power until its collapse on 30 November 2024.[2][3][4]

Background

The Middenvader Commissie met for a second time in 1959 in an attempt to settle the dispute between the two branches of the Schroeter family. The meeting failed, and Ferdinand Schroeter was found dead several days later. Schroeter Traktoren closed its factories and ceased operations in July. The two branches later signed a truce prohibiting the company from being re-established.[5]

    • 31 October–1 November – The 1969 San Nicolás police crisis exposed failures between the separate Argentine police commands after officers from Santa Fe mistakenly fired on an unmarked Buenos Aires police vehicle during the pursuit of five armed robbers. Jan Paap ordered a review of the police forces.[7]

    • 15 April – Jan Paap established the Ordnungspolizei following the San Nicolás review. Existing police personnel in the directly governed territories were brought under the new centralized police organization.[7]

  • Eef Hoos joined De Vrienden, completing the five-member group.[2]
  • Tanoa introduced the compulsory Neger Buch population-registration document for native inhabitants of Tanoa.[3]

1979

  • Rwanda became a Tanoan puppet state.[3]
  • December
    • 31 December – A prison disturbance in Suva developed into an anti-Tanoan uprising, beginning the Suva Crisis.[3]

1980

    • 2 January – Tanoan forces suppressed the Suva Crisis. A total of 327 people had been killed during the uprising.[9]
    • Later in January – Jan Paap retired as Führer of Tanoa. Eef Paap succeeded him.[9]

    • 6 November – Eef Paap's formal accession ceremony was held in Georgetown.[9]

2014

    • 13 March – Air Fiji Flight 27, a Boeing 767-300ER carrying 214 people, was shot down by Tanoan-controlled air-defence forces near Vagalala. Everyone aboard was killed.[16]
  • The Tanoan Conquest of the Falklands began. Tanoan forces occupied the western Falkland Islands during the conflict, which ended with a ceasefire in 2017.[17]

    • Snubable Enterprise entered structured cooperation with the Tanoa Einsatzgruppen. Snubable supplied cloning documents and technical material, while Tanoa provided industrial equipment and armed protection.[18]

  • The resistance network founded by Mark and John adopted the name Fish Collective.[21]

2024

    • 5 August – John Hugerinus Paap killed Daniel Paap and senior Tanoan generals during an attack in Patagonia.[22]
    • 12 August – John died during further fighting in Patagonia.[22]
  • November
    • 23–24 November – Mark Hugerinus Paap entered Tanoa during his final operation. He reached Ipota and killed Eef Paap before dying from his own wounds later on 24 November.[23]
    • 30 November – The Tanoa Einsatzgruppen ceased to function as an organized state entity after resistance forces dismantled its remaining central command.[4]

2025

    • 1 May – Richard Rambam and Peter Pecker were captured and executed by the Fish Collective. Marku Ionuț was killed the same day, ending the central command of Porno Bucharest. Further Fish Collective attacks caused the Bucharest Butchers to collapse during May.[24][25]
    • 6 May – The remaining Snubable personnel at the Căciulați complex surrendered. Snubable Enterprise dissolved the same day.[26]
