Geography

[edit | edit source]

Slatina lies in southern Romania along the Olt River. The city is the administrative centre of Olt County and is one of the main urban settlements in the county.

History

[edit | edit source]

Slatina was first mentioned in a medieval document on 20 January 1368. The town developed along the Olt River and later became the county seat of Olt County.

In the modern period, Slatina became an industrial centre. Its local economy included aluminium production and industrial work while the city remained tied to the surrounding rural area through local movement and county administration.

2017 Slatina massacre

[edit | edit source]

In 2017, Stefan Shrankenhaus initiated Aktion Shrankenhaus through Snubable Shrankenhaus in cooperation with elements of the Tanoa Einsatzgruppen. Selected clones were conditioned as armed units and transported to Slatina with Shrankenhaus-developed armored vehicles.

The operation resulted in the 2017 Slatina massacre. Estimates placed the number of people killed at approximately 34,000 to 40,000. Public reporting at the time described the attackers as extremist paramilitary actors. Snubable involvement was not publicly confirmed during the incident.
