Petru Ionuț: Difference between revisions

In early 2024, [[Iakob Ionuț]] killed [[Soufian Schwein]], the gun dealer who had supplied the brothers since 2015. Petru was not told what had happened and believed that Schwein had disappeared. He noticed the loss immediately because Schwein had remained his principal source of firearms. The killing removed a supplier personally loyal to Petru and gave Iakob greater control over the weapons routes while his loyalty shifted towards [[Marku Ionuț]].

During the same period, Petru opposed Marku's attempt to align the [[Bucharest Butchers]] more closely with the [[Tanoa Einsatzgruppen]]. Marku wanted access to the money, properties and transport routes controlled by Petru in [[California]]. He also intended to use Petru's organization to support a permanent trafficking network in the United States. Petru refused to transfer his authority or allow Marku's personnel to operate independently through his territory. His refusal made him the only high-ranking member of the Bucharest Butchers to openly resist the central leadership while retaining control of one of its most profitable overseas operations.

A revised paper for the [[California 2040]] project circulated on 14 January 2024. It proposed an underground facility larger than the main [[Snubable Enterprise]] complex north of [[Bucharest]]. The proposed site was intended for clone production and hybrid research, with protected storage and industrial sections below ground. California was also being considered for the movement of personnel and equipment through ports, airports and covert transport routes.

Petru attended restricted meetings concerning these plans in early 2024. The participants included Marku, Bucharest Butchers intermediaries, senior Tanoa Einsatzgruppen figures and [[Julián Serrano]], the Governor of California. They discussed the political protection required for the underground project and the use of Petru's routes to move personnel into the state. Marku also sought access to secure properties controlled through Petru's casino network. Petru regarded the plans as an attempt to remove his independent authority and place the organization he had built under Tanoa-backed control.

The meetings also contained ritual ceremonies and private gatherings attended by senior participants. Petru saw Serrano take part in these ceremonies and later learned that the governor had repeatedly travelled to [[Tanoa]] for sex tourism. Serrano's participation showed Petru that the governor was no longer acting only as a paid political contact and had entered the Tanoa-linked circle supporting Marku's plans.

Two weeks after one of the final meetings, Petru entered Serrano's office and strangled him without speaking. He then arranged for [[Adrian Salcedo]] to assume control of the political contacts and state-level intermediaries that had answered to Serrano. Salcedo continued protecting Petru's position but refused to permit Marku to establish the trafficking network he had planned for California.

The trafficking network remained incomplete when Petru died on 21 August 2024. The separate California 2040 project also remained at the planning stage and no underground facility was constructed. The collapse of the Tanoa Einsatzgruppen on 30 November 2024 removed the political and logistical support required for either plan to continue.
