Articles that need extensive revision can be marked with Template:Rewrite. The marker records the date and adds the article to the list below.

Usage

Place the marker at the top of the article, before its infobox and lead: 

{{subst:Rewrite}}

Add a reason when the article-wide problem needs clarification: 

{{subst:Rewrite|reason=The article no longer reflects the current organization of the subject.}}

Use the marker only when the problem affects most of the article. Fix smaller problems directly. After more than seven days, the marker turns red automatically.

Removing the marker

Remove the marker after the rewrite has been checked against the page history and related pages.
